About Us
The Mission of Headwaters
Headwaters RC&D and the Headwaters Charitable Trust organizations work together to promote the quality of life and economic sustainability by restoring, protecting, and enhancing natural and cultural resources in north central Pennsylvania. We do this by providing technical assistance, implementing resource conservation projects, fostering volunteer efforts, and developing financial partnerships. Headwaters manages projects that address agriculture, forest resource, community development, environmental education, water resource and recreational needs of the region.
Counties Served
The eight counties within the Headwaters RC&D area are:
Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Jefferson, McKean and Potter.
Sponsors
Each of the eight Counties within the Headwaters RC&D area are represented on the Council by three appointees from the County Conservation District, County Commissioners and County Planning Departments.
The Trust consists of a flexible number of directors which represent of a variety of public and private entities.
